Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress, comedian, activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she also appeared as an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was initially selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub, an Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and she were exiled from antisemitism as young as two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Due to her family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit after her sophomore year, obtained an GED and then went to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
