Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Mills (born September 21 1965) was an American dance instructor, choreographer,
and reality television host. Abby Lee Dance Company was started by her. It
aired on eight seasons of the show Dance Moms. Miller confessed in June of 2016
to the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced to one year and
one day in federal prison, and released on March 27 the 27th of March, 2018. In
April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma. a form of cancer that rendered
her ineligible to walk. She relies on a wheelchair for mobility. Miller was
raised in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer and learned from her
mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller, then 14, was tasked with
choreography and instruction of one of her mother’s dance teams. Miller later
took over the studio in 1995 , and changed its name to the company Reign Dance
Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and was a part
of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA
terminated her membership in February 2012, citing that Miller's reality show
Dance Moms was a "complete mistaken portrayal of our teachers and
students" and was damaging to the profession.
